Production / Woodshop Associate – Case & Crate Assembly
- Location: Newark, CA
- Pay: $22–$27 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Position Overview
- Support case and crate building operations in a woodshop environment
- Perform hands-on assembly, foam assembly, material handling, and quality inspections
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
Responsibilities
- Build wooden cases and crates per drawings and specifications
- Perform foam assembly and material handling tasks
- Inspect work throughout the build process for quality and accuracy
- Ensure conformance to specifications and standards
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in the woodshop
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment
- Report equipment, tool, or safety issues to the supervisor
- Work collaboratively as part of a production team
- Learn quickly and adapt in a loosely structured environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
- Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, manufacturing, or production preferred
- Knowledge of common woodworking and carpentry tools (hand tools and power tools)
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
- Basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and material layout
- Ability to read drawings, measurements, or work instructions
- Familiarity with shop safety practices and PPE requirements
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required
- Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
