- Salary: $60k-$70k/a year

Job Duties of the Buyer:
- Source, qualify, and maintain positive relationships with both foreign and domestic suppliers
- Request samples and specification sheets from suppliers
- Provide QC Manager and team with material specifications like certification of analysis, material safety data sheets, technical drawings, etc.
- Request quotes, minimum order quantities, and lead times on items
- Negotiate price and order quantities, and place Purchase Orders for items as needed
- Arrange for inbound transportation of materials and supplies
- File claims for inbound shipments that are short shipments and/or damaged and report quality issues as necessary
- Ensure stock levels are acceptable to prevent stock shortages that could stop production
- Maintain accurate info on all inventory held at outside locations by vendors/manufacturers
- Ensure purchasing related documents (invoices and freight bills) are correct for each transaction for price, quantity, packaging, and specifications
- Create and maintain a MRO catalog for frequently purchased items
- Maintain information regarding cost changes, vendors, and lead times
- Maintain the open purchase order report for management

• Model and support a safety and food safety culture for the facility
• Ensure tasks are completed safely, timely, following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and to quality specifications
• Participate in master sanitation scheduling
• Regularly and timely attend daily meetings and provide status updates in shift handoff as needed

The Product Integrity (PI) /Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will report to the PI Manager and/or Assistant PI Manager to achieve the following tasks:
- Participate in routine tasting tests and occasional testing of out of spec

- Assist Consumer Affairs personnel on more technical subjects in resolving
