Job Title: Woodworking / Construction Technician (Mon–Fri)

Position Summary

Time: 6am-2:30

Pay rate: $22.00 an hour 

Location: Benicia

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Woodworking / Construction Technician to join our team. This role involves working with wood materials, interpreting basic building drawings, and contributing to a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results.

• Monday – Friday
• Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and handle wood materials accurately
• Read and interpret basic building drawings (training provided)
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Move and position large plywood sheets as needed
• Utilize computer kiosks for job tracking or workflow tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
• Follow all safety procedures and consistently wear required safety gear
• Ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction are met

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure (down to 1/16 inch)
• Comfortable learning and using basic construction drawings
• Basic computer skills (kiosk use)
• Enjoys hands-on work and physical tasks
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing clearly)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success
• Commitment to safety and quality

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of experience in construction, woodworking, or manufacturing preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and use tools throughout the shift
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently
• Capable of moving large wood sheets regularly
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and fitness-for-duty test
