Central Valley’s Best Trash Hauler is looking for an experienced Parts and Inventory Technician for their Kingsburg location.

The Parts and Inventory Technician is responsible for the accurate tracking, ordering, and distribution of maintenance parts and supplies for their fleet and equipment operations.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Inventory Management & Data Entry

  • Maintain accurate inventory records of fleet parts and shop supplies
  • Enter data into inventory management software and update parts usage in real-time
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and assist with annual audits
  • Receive incoming parts and assign to appropriate locations, update stock levels accordingly

Parts & Procurement Support

  • Create and track purchase orders; follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Assist the Fleet Manager and Supervisor in maintaining parts availability for maintenance schedules
  • Put away new parts and supplies and ensure they are correctly labeled and organized Administrative Duties
  • Maintain repair files and inventory transaction records
  • Assist in documenting vehicle and equipment maintenance history
  • Support compliance audits (e.g., tank inspections, safety records) 
  • Proactively communicate stock shortages, excesses, or supplier issues

Customer Service & Team Collaboration

  • Provide service to internal maintenance personnel by ensuring requested parts are delivered efficiently
  • Communicate with vendors to coordinate order status or returns
  • Participate in safety meetings and training activities o Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment

Shift: Morning

Pay: $20-$25 DOE *Resume required with recent work experience

  • Interpret test plans and conduct complex engineering testing with no direct supervision.
  • Read and understand shop floor paperwork including SEI’s.
  • Hook up, start and run chillers.  Determine if chiller meets performance requirements.
  • Use selection programs to determine fouling compensations, Trane Techview/Tracer TU, and the Factory Talk to gather data and evaluate chiller performance.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, fix and document improperly operating chillers & test loop.
  • Interact with customers/agency representatives in a positive and professional manner.
  • Perform TPM’s on all run stand systems.  Report any suspect sensors or controls.
