Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator I supports the overall shipment process, including shipment documentation, transportation scheduling, and ensuring materials are picked up and delivered to customers on time. This role assists with daily logistics operations by evaluating transportation options and analyzing ways to optimize costs and the number of trucks or containers needed based on scheduling requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day transportation of goods and supplies
  • Schedule and coordinate trucks and shipping partners for pickups and deliveries, including communication of any changes or updates
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all shipments
  • Collaborate with the Shipping Department to obtain shipment weights, dimensions, DG forms, and other required documentation
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping documents
  • Scan and distribute shipment documentation to internal and external customers
  • Prepare and maintain shipping department metrics
  • Process material orders in AX
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to organize materials and required paperwork
  • Provide daily shipping schedule reports and attend daily or bi-weekly meetings
  • Prepare daily invoice and tracking reports
  • Solicit shipping quotes from transportation companies and provide recommendations for approval
  • Utilize carrier portals as needed
  • Generate additional shipping labels based on customer requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain precise records of physical and virtual inventories through daily cycle counts, claims management, and account administration.
  • Oversee data related to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping products.
  • Manage inventory levels by determining stock needs and initiating replenishment when necessary.
  • Investigate damages, discrepancies, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues.
  • Locate and verify product information, confirm correct product IDs, and support physical inventory processes.
  • Review stock data such as pallet IDs, substitutes, and product references to ensure shipping accuracy.
  • Identify unused or excess items and recommend appropriate disposal or action.
  • Ensure proper supply levels by ordering shipping materials, equipment, and other facility needs.

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work in a range of temperatures:
    • Cold storage environments as low as -20°F / -25°C
    • Dry storage environments up to 100°F / 37°C
      (All necessary PPE and freezer gear is provided.)
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. or more, depending on facility needs.
