Job Duties of the HR Generalist:

  • Work closely with the HR Manager to manages the entire employee lifecycle for both temporary and permanent staff
  • Serve as the main point of contact between staffing agencies and the company
  • Manage day to day employee relations including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and handling terminations
  • Conduct training sessions aimed at employee growth and resolving performance issues
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and values

We are seeking an Office Assistant to join our team in East Los Angeles. The Office Assistant will provide information and assistance to cemetery patrons, handle billing-related tasks, and support general office operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist cemetery patrons with contracts, billing inquiries, and problem resolution.
  • Enter payments into patron accounts and maintain Credit Card and ACH files for monthly payments.
  • Contact patrons regarding past due accounts and provide assistance as needed.
  • Support and guide other cemetery staff in various locations.
  • Generate and distribute reports, reconcile statements, and adjust accounts as required.
  • Assist patrons with claims and process corrections for contracts, invoices, and other documents.
  • Serve as a liaison between patrons and Catholic Cemeteries, resolving billing issues and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate with other departments and cemetery staff to address and resolve problems.
  • Respond to patron questions and complaints via telephone and written communication, escalating non-routine or serious issues to the Senior Patron Services Representative or supervisor.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and perform various clerical duties such as typing, filing, and mail sorting.
  • Operate office equipment including computers, typewriters, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The position is responsible for unloading incoming raw product using a 12-pallet forklift. Take product to cooling tube and operate tube monitoring product temperatures. Move cooled product from tube to cooler.

Responsibilities:
• Unload incoming raw product from flatbeds using 12 pallet forklifts
• Load empty bins and pallets back on trucks
• Perform cooling operation using vacuum tubes
• Maintaining cooling logs of all loads
• Maintain proper documentation for all activity including daily rundown of cooling tube and forklift
• Assist with Receiving and Shipping forklift operations when needed

Responsibilities:
Pre-Stage
• At the beginning of the shift and throughout, obtain Pick Tickets from the Shipping office. Pick Tickets contain customer order information such as, type of product and quantity that needs to be pulled from the warehouse to fill an order. Pick and scan items of finished product from the warehouse and enter quantities into the scanner gun.
• Build pallets of finished goods for customer orders, place a sticker on the pallet to identify which order the pallet/product belongs to, place in the staging rack, and complete the Load Chart
• Read and follow special instructions on the Pick Ticket.

Load Trucks
• Conduct pre-inspection of the trailer to ensure it is clean, proper temperature, note damage to the trailer, etc. Complete the pre-inspection form which is on the Load Tag document. Inform a supervisor if the trailer does not pass pre-inspection.
• While using a forklift, go to staging area, get pallets of product for the order, verify counts, and load the truck. Verify counts by reading the Pick Ticket already filled out during pre-stage and by writing the counts on the blank Pick-Ticket.

Rotation
• Take pallets of finished product from Production and place in the warehouse.
• Rotate product based on FIFO.
• Using an Inventory Sheet, perform cycle counts, counting the product, and confirming quantities in the warehouse.
