We have a direct hire openings for an HR Generalist in Prescott at a company that specializes in skincare and bath products. This is a 1st shift opening!
In this role, manage a wide range of HR activities, including recruiting, employee relations, and workplace safety, and support both temporary workers and permanent employees within a manufacturing environment.

Salary and Shift Information:
- Salary: $70k-$75k/a year with a target bonus of 5% of the annual salary
- This is a 1st shift opening
Job Duties of the HR Generalist:
- Work closely with the HR Manager to manages the entire employee lifecycle for both temporary and permanent staff
- Serve as the main point of contact between staffing agencies and the company
- Manage day to day employee relations including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and handling terminations
- Conduct training sessions aimed at employee growth and resolving performance issues
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and values
- Manage company-wide HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with federal and state legal requirements
- Respond to inquiries regarding the organization’s processes, policies, procedures, and programs
- Recruit and interview candidates and provides management with hiring recommendations
- Create job postings to advertise openings, design and place position announcements, and participate in job fairs
- Oversee the hiring process including conducting background and reference checks, negotiating salary offers, and issuing job confirmation letters
- Conduct exit interviews with employees and provide this information to management
- Conduct investigations into claims of harassment or other company-guideline violations
- Develop, enforce, and update safety protocols tailored to the manufacturing environment
- Conduct safety investigations, attend safety meetings, manage workers’ compensation claims, and ensure compliance with safety regulations like OSHA
- Stay up to date with federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations such as
- Conduct regular safety audits to identify areas of non-compliance with OSHA standards and take to avoid both legal issues and maintain a safe working environment
- Oversee the company’s compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are both competitive and in compliance with legal requirements
- Coordinate and communicate with employees about benefits-related projects such as open enrollment for health insurance, or updates to the 401k retirement plan
- Act as a point of contact for employees and answer questions regarding their benefits, HR policies, and any other HR related programs
Job Requirements of the HR Generalist:
- 2-4 years of HR experience in the manufacturing industry (preferred)
- Foster an environment where safety and the well-being of employees is a top priority
- Working knowledge of recruiting, staffing, and employee relations
- Comprehensive understanding of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, HIPPA, COBRA, and OSHA
- Knowledge of employee benefits and payroll processes
- Have effective communication to interface with all levels of staff across the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish is a plus
