Office Assistant Needed in East Los Angeles
Work Schedule:
- Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Part-time: Monday to Friday, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm or 10:00am -2:00pm
Job Description:
We are seeking an Office Assistant to join our team in East Los Angeles. The Office Assistant will provide information and assistance to cemetery patrons, handle billing-related tasks, and support general office operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist cemetery patrons with contracts, billing inquiries, and problem resolution.
- Enter payments into patron accounts and maintain Credit Card and ACH files for monthly payments.
- Contact patrons regarding past due accounts and provide assistance as needed.
- Support and guide other cemetery staff in various locations.
- Generate and distribute reports, reconcile statements, and adjust accounts as required.
- Assist patrons with claims and process corrections for contracts, invoices, and other documents.
- Serve as a liaison between patrons and Catholic Cemeteries, resolving billing issues and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate with other departments and cemetery staff to address and resolve problems.
- Respond to patron questions and complaints via telephone and written communication, escalating non-routine or serious issues to the Senior Patron Services Representative or supervisor.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and perform various clerical duties such as typing, filing, and mail sorting.
- Operate office equipment including computers, typewriters, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
