Central Valley Recycling Center is looking for a 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic for their Fresno location. This is a temp to hire position with a possible 90 day quick hire.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices 
  • Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual) 
  • Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
  • Repair broken or faulty machine parts
  • Perform emergency repairs
  • Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
  • Align and calibrate machine parts
  • Monitor and report on project progress

Schedule: Mon – Sat

Shift: 7am – 6pm with additional OT if needed

Pay: $18-$21 depending on experience

 

*Resumes are required with at least 1 year of recent maintenance experience. 

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical maintenance experience required 
  • Electrical experience is a plus
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work with hand tools
  • Ability to change from one task to another with little assistance
  • Work in a hot/cold environment
  • Past experience working with conveyor belts, motors, hydraulic systems

Job Summary:
 
A Production Team Leader oversees daily production activities to ensure targets for volume, cost, waste, and quality are met. They lead and supervise a team, coordinate work schedules, and address production issues to maximize efficiency and maintain standards. They also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.

  • Leading and Supervising:                                                                                                                                       Lead and motivate a team of employees, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities. 
  • Production Management:
    Monitor production processes, identify and address issues, and implement solutions to maintain efficiency and quality. 
  • Safety and Quality:
    Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the production process. 
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify areas for improvement in production processes, equipment, and working conditions. 
  • Training and Development:
    Train new team members, mentor existing staff, and provide ongoing support to enhance skills. 
  • Coordination and Communication:
    Liaise with other departments, such as planning, engineering, and quality control, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 
  • Performance Management:
    Track key performance indicators, evaluate team performance, and provide feedback to improve productivity. 
  • Problem-Solving:
    Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and develop and implement solutions to resolve them. 
  • Inventory Management:
    Monitor inventory levels, ensure proper storage and handling of materials, and prevent waste.
