Operations Systems Analyst – Port Operations Support 

Location: Ventura County, CA 
Pay Range: $80,000 – $85,000 annually 

About the Role: 
Employbridge, the nation’s largest industrial staffing firm, is conducting an executive search on behalf of one of our key clients for an experienced Operations Systems Analyst. This role will support the Port Operations Manager by driving process automation, data accuracy, and operational efficiency across daily port activities. 

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to understand operational workflows, manage data, and maintain precise inventory tracking. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Partner with the Port Operations Manager to identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities. 
• Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and reports (primarily using Excel or other systems) to enhance data visibility and streamline workflows. 
• Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement areas. 
• Support the integration and implementation of digital tools or systems to modernize port operations. 
• Train and assist team members in leveraging new tools and technologies for improved performance. 

Qualifications: 

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, VBA/macros, dashboards). 
• Strong understanding of data management, process automation, and system workflows.

• Experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain environments is a plus, though not required.

Pay & Schedule:

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a secure entrance by monitoring and recording all visitors, vendors, and drivers.

• Direct inbound and outbound truck traffic to ensure safe and efficient yard flow.

• Verify the condition of inter modal equipment entering and exiting the facility; report and document any damages or inconsistencies.

• Complete required system inputs and documentation, including ELRs (Equipment Lease Receipts), BOLs, drayage records, temperature checks, and event reports (e.g., equipment damage, theft, unauthorized persons).

• Support port drayage operations by preparing and managing driver paperwork and updating system records.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trailer and fruit inventory.

• Coordinate with maintenance for inspection of damaged equipment.

• Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain order and cleanliness of the premises.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and contact authorities when needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

• Previous experience in a logistics, yard, or warehouse environment preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and recordkeeping.

• Ability to speak, read (fine print) and write in English
