Description
What you’ll do
- Ensure production lines receive materials just in time, preventing work stoppages and delays. This will require implementing and responding to replenishment signals and triggers.
- Ensure kits are complete when delivered to the assembly cell.
- Stage materials at the point of use and replenish as necessary. Maintain an orderly and accessible stock of materials, optimizing layout for efficient retrieval.
- Work closely with stakeholders to anticipate material needs and adjust workflows accordingly.
- Implement and refine lean practices, ensuring consistent and reliable replenishment processes.
- Proactively identify shortages and inefficiencies; implement solutions to optimize material flow.
- Maintain safety protocols and 5S principles, contributing to an organized and safe environment.
- Track material movement accurately, ensuring data integrity in warehouse management systems.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; additional training in lean methodologies is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or production environments is preferred.
- Understands material flow, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with kanban, just-in-time replenishment, and warehouse management systems.
- Strong ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
- Forklift and material handling equipment certification preferred.
