Job Summary
The Parts Advisor supports daily shop operations by ensuring accurate inventory, timely parts availability, and strong coordination with technicians, mechanics, vendors, and the Service Team. This role plays a key part in keeping repairs moving efficiently and maintaining organized, compliant parts operations in a fast-paced shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels to ensure parts are available when needed
- Order parts and track deliveries from vendors
- Process parts invoices, receipts, and related documentation
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits
- Coordinate closely with technicians, mechanics, and the Service Team
- Maintain accurate records and parts-related reports
- Keep the parts area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Safely lift, move, and handle parts as required
Requirements
- Experience in parts, inventory, or service operations preferred
- Automotive, heavy-duty, or equipment repair environment experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift and handle parts safely
