Manufacturing Maintenance Lead Technician, Union City, $35/hr

Job Summary
The Maintenance Lead Technician is responsible for performing and overseeing daily equipment and facility maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role leads maintenance efforts on shift, supports mechanics, and ensures all work is completed in accordance with company standards, processes, systems, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance on production equipment and building systems
• Troubleshoot, repair, and correct mechanical and electrical issues
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Implement equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and support mechanics on shift to ensure work is completed safely, effectively, and on time
• Maintain equipment and fixtures to support consistent production operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and SQF standards
• Document maintenance activities and follow company maintenance procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a lead or senior maintenance technician role preferred
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, welding, and fabrication
• Experience with power transmission systems
• Working knowledge of industrial electronics
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic systems
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
• Ability to work independently and lead by example
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
