JOB SUMMARY

The Gate Attendant reports trucks into the ERP system and notifies our 3PL customers. This person also conducts C-TPAT 8-point inspections on every inbound container to uphold supply chain security. The Gate Attendant will work with Shipping, Security, Operations, and Food Safety to streamline inbound freight management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Check in trucks with the ERP system.

·        Complete and maintain truck/visitor sign-in/out logs.

·        Send check-in/out notifications via email for Mission and 3PL customers.

·        CTPAT (8-point inspection, container inbound seal verification.)

·        Employee and visitor badge verification.

·        Ability to understand appointment schedules on Excel/spreadsheets.

·        Check out containers.

·        Watch for irregular or unusual conditions and report to proper management.

·        Permit only authorized persons and vehicles to enter the property.

·        Must be safety conscious.

·        Must possess strong organizational skills and pay attention to details.

·        Must be able to multitask.

·        Have basic computer knowledge.

·        Must be flexible.

·        Check all incoming and outgoing vehicles for correct merchandise and correct quantities.

·        Perform other duties as requested.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and Team Leader, the Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, parking, and preparation of vehicles throughout various stages of the logistics process. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to operate vehicles in a fast-paced port environment.


Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities (40–90%)

  • Safely drive and park vehicles according to established vehicle-handling procedures
  • Follow assigned routes or schedules while obeying all traffic laws and port regulations
  • Maintain constant communication with the Team Leader regarding pickup and drop-off locations
  • Inspect vehicles prior to operation to ensure they are damage-free and functioning properly
  • Adhere to all port traffic policies and posted speed limits
  • Immediately report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, or road hazards to management
  • Document and report mechanical issues or vehicle damage
  • Read and understand parking location maps and instructions

Secondary Responsibilities (20–40%)

  • Prepare vehicles for various stages of processing, including:
    • Tire pressure checks using handheld gauges
    • Battery condition checks using handheld equipment
    • Driving vehicles on and off conveyors
    • Removing exterior and interior protective plastic wrap
    • Driving vehicles to fueling stations and through automated car washes
    • Removing trash from vehicles
    • Completing required checklists and scans

Tertiary Responsibilities (5–20%)

  • Perform vehicle spotting for other drivers or customers
  • Support scanning and tracking functions for vehicle movement
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

About the Role

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our Port Hueneme Vehicle Processing Center. This position plays a key role in daily HR operations, including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, benefits administration, leave management, performance management support, and HR records maintenance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional employee and candidate experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & On-boarding

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including requisition coordination, job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and hiring recommendations.
  • Create offer letters and coordinate pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug testing.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure completion of all on-boarding documentation.
  • Maintain applicant tracking records and provide recruiting status updates to leadership.
  • Support employee referral and temp-to-permanent conversion programs.
  • Participate in job fairs and other recruiting initiatives.

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Process personnel changes, benefits updates, and employment status changes.

  • Process and track FMLA, ADA, and other leave requests while ensuring compliance.
  • Review HR documentation for accuracy and maintain records in HR Acuity.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department.
  • Assist with HR projects, meetings, and company events.
  • Process payroll when needed in the absence of the Senior HR Analyst.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
