Pay: $17.00/hr

• Pay Increase after conversion to direct employee.

Shift: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Walk the facility with sanitation to verify cleanliness, equipment integrity, and food-safety conditions.
• Document observations on department forms and report issues promptly.
• Inspect finished product to ensure it meets quality standards; verify processing parameters.
• Perform QA checks, take samples, evaluate results, and record data in the system.
• Communicate with the Shift Supervisor and QA team regarding Holds, Unusual Occurrences, CCP issues, labeling, packaging, and pack quality.
• Collect held raw/finished product and deliver samples to the QA lab.
• Release product from hold, tag pallets, and update Navision.
• Complete daily plant perimeter walks using checklists to verify cleanliness and readiness.
• Assess frozen/warm loads for salvageable product.
• Review transfer truck conditions for food safety and quality.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years related experience or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of “use by” and Julian dates preferred (training provided).
• Basic computer skills; Excel and Word preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.

Position: Order Selector

Location: Santa Cruz, CA

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, some Saturdays | Start between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM | 8-hour shifts

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Order Selector in Santa Cruz. This is a fast-paced, physical role that requires accuracy, stamina, and attention to detail. You will walk throughout the day while pushing a cart and using an RF scanner to locate, pick, and deliver products to the packaging team.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and fill customer orders using an RF scanner
• Deliver completed picks to packing areas
• Receive inbound orders
• Perform replenishment tasks
• Complete shipping audits and assist with trailer loading
• Conduct inventory cycle counts
• Process returns and RTS
• Rotate inventory following FIFO guidelines
• Verify product quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates

Minimum Qualifications

• Entry-level opportunity — no experience required
• Must arrive on time and be willing to work overtime as needed
• Ability to read and understand instructions and orders in English
• Power equipment experience preferred (forklift, pallet jack, order picker)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and walk for up to 10 hours
• Frequent use of stairs and ladders
