Job Title: Production Technician I

Job Summary

The Production Technician I is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by assembling, operating, and monitoring production equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals looking to grow within a manufacturing or production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production and packaging equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform basic assembly, inspection, and testing of products
• Accurately complete production documentation, logs, and reports
• Monitor product quality and report defects or equipment issues to supervisors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), if applicable
• Assist with material handling, including loading/unloading components and finished goods
• Support continuous improvement initiatives as requested

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/production floor setting
• Exposure to noise, machinery, and temperature variations
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
