Job Title: Quality Inspector

Company: Hourglass Cosmetics

Location: Carson, CA

Pay Rate: $20.00- $23.00 per hour DOE

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

WHAT YOU DO:
• Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of assembly associates on daily tasks.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance on processes such as labeling, unboxing, packing, and product preparation.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on collaboration and accountability.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost speed, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Manage labor and material resources to meet daily production targets efficiently.
• Track team performance and productivity
• Maintain accurate work order logs and reconcile concealed shortages or overages.
• Ensure products meet quality standards by conducting or overseeing inspections during key stages.
• Enforce all safety protocols and ensure adherence to company safety standards.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Inventory Control, and Shipping to ensure a smooth operational flow.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions with the assembly team.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1–3 years of experience in a production, warehouse, or assembly role; leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (Deposco experience a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and lead a team.
• Comfortable using computers for reporting and tracking; Excel experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is a bonus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and manual handling.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-focused and dependable

Quality Inspector to join our warehouse operations team. This position is responsible for inspecting cosmetic products and packaging for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, has strong observational skills, and is passionate about upholding brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and defects

• Verify labeling, packaging, and product specifications

• Document inspection results and report any quality issues

• Work closely with Quality lead ensure compliance

• Support continuous improvement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in inspection areas

• Identify trends and escalate new quality issues
