We are seeking a proactive Material Handler – Shipping & Receiving Lead to support and oversee all shipping and receiving operations. This role is responsible for ensuring timely receiving of incoming shipments, unloading, validating counts, stocking items, picking finished goods, packing, and processing sales orders. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while leading a team with a positive, collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and train team members on all shipping and receiving processes.

  • Oversee daily functions including inbound and outbound shipments, carrier communication, and RMA processing.

  • Collect, prepare, and present department KPI data.

  • Assist in developing and implementing new processes and procedures.

  • Operate power truck equipment (Forklift, Reach, Order Picker) and tools as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Location: Carpinteria

Hours: 6 am - 3 pm

Pay $22.31

Job Requirements:

 

  • Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred.

  • Ability to operate industrial power trucks and equipment.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel functions.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team of 5+ employees.

Position profile:

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assigning and monitoring the work of all warehouse personnel. They transact all work order(s) part issuing and report inventory discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor. They are responsible to report inappropriate conduct and to assist production with parts request. This position occasionally trains employees on warehouse functions

What you’ll do

• Research inventory discrepancies and report them to Cycle Count Coordinator.

• Will lead a team of up to 5

• Will contribute to and develop SOP’s and documenting Standard Work.

• Distributes manufacturing orders to warehouse personnel.

• Assists manufacturing department with parts request.

• Oversees the picking of manufacturing orders.

• Oversees inventory transactions and material replenishments.

• Assists the Warehouse Team members in all duties.

• Contributes to employee reviews and goals.

• Transacts all work order part issuing

• Performs other duties as directed by Warehouse Supervisor or required by the company

Job Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience

• Thorough knowledge of warehousing and cycle counting.

• Knowledge of  inventory system and parts.

• Leadership experience in a similar setting

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity or environment.

• Ability to set priorities and accomplish department goals.

• Above average verbal and written communication skills.

• Average computer skills.
