Driver Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Service Driver to operate vehicles and transport senior passengers to medical and non-medical appointments, to the Senior Center in Central Park(C.S.S.) lunch program, activities and classes by city automobile, van or bus for our client. As a driver, you must have a safe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. In this position, you will follow prearranged routes to destinations or use maps and GPS to navigate routes. You will also maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness.

Senior Driver Responsibilities:

  • Delivers demand responsive transportation services to ensure timely, efficient and safe customer service
  • Drives various routes using guidance and direction from Senior Services Transportation Coordinator
  • Investigates complaints, accidents and personal injuries and completes necessary reports
  • Provides safe and efficient services needed to facilitate orderly movement of passengers
  • The driver assists frail or handicapped clients with boarding the vehicle and upon arrival
  • Practice safe driving habits
  • Open vehicle doors and assist passengers
  • Load cargo and baggage
  • Clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed
  • Keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter
  • Complete documentation such as logs, mileage, or cargo and passenger reports
  • Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion

Job Requirements:

  • Good driving record endorsement required.

  12. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
  13. Track and maintain electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility.
  14. Request replacement parts.
  15. Control & stock the spare part inventory.
  16. Control the budget and maintenance expenses in conjunction with the manager.
  17. Establish the working hours for the department in conjunction with the manager.
  18. Direct and delegate workload to maintenance personnel.
  19. Ensure all processes, procedures and documentation are BRC compliant.
  20. Perform supervisory duties related to personnel decisions, including but not limited to; writing and conducting
  21. performance evaluation, hiring, disciplinary and termination decision in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must:

  1. Possess a degree or equivalent experience.
  2. 3 years maintenance experience in extrusion and/or thermoforming.

The Staff Performance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of personnel to ensure the timely, accurate, and quality delivery of customer goods and service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages candidate inventory by recruiting, screening, interviewing daily.

Set clear and meaningful performance expectations for direct reports as well as establishing performance objectives for dotted line responsibilities of manufacturing support and direct labor associates.
