Monday to Thursday (4/10 Schedule)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and quote materials using customer-provided data inputs, including Bills of Materials (BOM) quoting documentation package, approved manufacturer lists, custom design specifications, and scope of work data packages.
  • Review customer drawings/prints to determine and capture additional requirements related to quote details or costs.
  • Negotiate prices and payment terms.
  • Organize technical data packages to communicate effectively with outside suppliers for commercial and ITAR/EAR regulated processes.
  • Conduct supplier management activities, including evaluation and selection of vendors.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Program Managers to understand material requirements of the quote.
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendors to secure best pricing and delivery lead times through RFQs via quoting software, email and phone.
  • Create and utilize spreadsheets for providing customers with finalized and detailed materials, pricing reports.

• 1 to 2 years of purchasing experience as a Buyer or equivalent, preferably in the electronics industry

  • Assemble SMT and TH components on various types of printed circuit boards, using hand-held soldering stations.
  • Rework and install fine pitch components under microscope magnification.
  • Identify component types and polarities.
  • Read and utilize Bill of Materials (BOM) and Assembly Drawings.
  • Keep area clean and free of all non-essential tools and components.
  • Understand and adhere to ESD & ISO procedures.
  • Must be able to solder RoHS and Non-RoHS.
  • Ensure quality of work/product is maintained to standards.
  • Must be capable of performing solder touch ups.
  • Knowledge of IPC-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (experience required)
  • IPC-7711 Rework of Electronic Assemblies (experience required)
  • Capable of following process on travelers and providing input for DFM.
