The Senior Buyer/Planner manages materials to support the company's demand plan. This role has ownership and overall responsibility for managing inventory levels supporting demand while meeting inventory turns, service level targets and inventory budgets. This person is an important supply chain leader who interacts with internal partners to understand material and demand requirements.

Ideally we need:

• someone with a cosmetics or beauty background (but not a deal breaker)

• someone who is comfortable interacting with suppliers and can speak clearly over the phone (some of our outside vendors are international so we need someone who is great with relationship building + clear/concise communicator).

• has about 5 years of experience

  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.

  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Post openings in online venues, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
  • Utilize the internet for recruitment. --Post positions to appropriate Internet sources. --Improve the company website recruiting section to assist in recruiting. --Research new ways of using the internet for recruitment. --Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
