Compounding Assistant

The Compounder is responsible for staging, weighing, adding and mixing raw materials as directed by assigned batching instructions to produce a wide variety of products. This person should be a determined self-starter who works well in a team environment as well as on their own. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA regulations and safety protocols is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Weigh and pour/add ingredients in the proper sequence according to batch order

  • Operate equipment to blend batches for specified time per batch order details

  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of all compounding equipment

  • Assume raw material accountability to ensure accurate tracking and inventory

  • Responsible for meeting batch time standards while maintaining safety and quality

  • Proper document completion and control

  • Assist in developing compounding procedures for new products and improving processes for existing products

  • Follows all company policies and procedures to ensure that a quality product is produced

Inventory Control



  • Operates a variety of powered industrial vehicles including stand up, sit down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks

  • Receives incoming supplies and materials, verifies accuracy of items and quantities, and stores them according to established SOP’s and inventory FIFO methodology

  • Prepares samples of incoming raw materials for Quality Control inspection

  • Coordinates transfers in and out of the warehouse, tracking all movements

  • Generate reports from “in house” system, convert to Excel format, and perform analysis of information

Pick parts from storage for locations to fill dealer orders. Verify part number, description and quantity to ensure proper shipment. This duty requires lifting up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.

Pack parts to ensure safe handling during shipment order to eliminate freight damage.

Place material in assigned storage location and complete appropriate documentation.

6 Participate in warehouse projects including: Stock re-arrangement, cycle counts, warehouse scraps, part re-packaging and warehouse auditing.

Operate all warehouse material handling equipment including: Counter-balance forklift, narrow aisle reach truck, order picker and electric picking cart.
