Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities of a Shipping Lead:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train shipping personnel, delegating tasks and providing guidance to ensure efficiency and productivity. 
  • Process Management: Coordinate the daily shipping process, ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time. 
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage shipping materials, and ensure sufficient supplies are available. 
  • Shipping Coordination: Schedule pickups with various carriers, monitor shipment statuses, and resolve any issues that may arise. 
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate shipping records, prepare necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations. 
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the shipping process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • History of success in a position of accountability is preferred;
  • 2+ years of shipping experience;
  • Experience with inventory, cycle counts or audit is a plus;
  • Proven ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely manner;
  • Basic Computer skills;
  • Experience and ability to operate a forklift;
  • Proficient counting / math skills;
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk, stand, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, carry;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
