About the Role
Select is HIRING. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! This position is responsible for ensuring the proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment and machinery, troubleshooting electrical/electronic malfunctions, and performing repairs and preventive maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Replace, install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair production equipment and electrical components.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to optimize machine performance.
- Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and follow maintenance checklists.
- Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards.
- Dismantle equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to access defective parts.
- Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Operate hand and power tools for repairs, welding, cutting, and part replacement.
- Operate production machines as needed to understand capabilities and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance or mechanical experience
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents (blueprints, schematics)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
