Domestic Operations Agent
Location: Torrance, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:00am – 6:30pm
Job Summary
The Domestic Operations Agent is responsible for coordinating and managing U.S. shipments across air and ocean freight operations. This role requires a strong understanding of domestic routing, TSA regulations, and logistics documentation, along with the ability to perform fast and accurate data entry to ensure efficient and compliant shipment execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic shipments via air and ocean freight from pickup through final delivery
- Apply domestic routing principles to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of freight
- Prepare, process, and maintain shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Air Waybills (AWBs)
- Ensure compliance with TSA regulations and domestic cargo security requirements
- Communicate regularly with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to manage shipment flow
- Update shipment details accurately in transportation management systems
- Proactively identify and resolve shipment issues or delays
Qualifications
- Experience in domestic logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation
- Knowledge of air and ocean freight operations
- Familiarity with TSA regulations and cargo security requirements
- Strong data entry, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS)
- Understanding of U.S. domestic routing and freight documentation
- Prior experience in logistics coordination or operations roles
