Production / Woodshop Associate – Case & Crate Assembly
Location: Newark, CA
Pay Range: $22 – $27 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Production / Woodshop Associate to support case and crate assembly operations in a fast-paced woodshop environment. This hands-on role is responsible for building custom wooden cases and crates, performing foam assembly, and assisting with material handling activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to adapt quickly in a loosely structured production setting while working collaboratively with the team to meet quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build wooden cases and crates according to drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Perform foam assembly and assist with material handling as needed
- Inspect work throughout the production process to ensure quality and accuracy
- Properly use, maintain, and care for all tools and equipment
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines
- Report tool, equipment, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly
- Work collaboratively as part of a production team to meet deadlines
- Learn new processes and tasks quickly in a dynamic environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Ability to read and follow drawings or written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to learn new skills and processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in a woodshop, manufacturing, or assembly environment preferred
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and material handling
