Job Description – Fabricator (Food Manufacturing Setting)
Pay: $32–$36/hr
Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (may vary; overtime as needed)
Position Summary
The Fabricator builds, modifies, and repairs metal components and equipment used in a food manufacturing environment. This role requires strong fabrication and welding skills, especially with stainless steel and food-grade materials. The Fabricator ensures all work meets sanitary design and supports safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Cut, weld, and assemble stainless steel and food-grade materials.
- Perform TIG and sanitary welding as needed.
- Use fabrication tools such as welders, grinders, saws, and bending machines.
- Inspect measurements and ensure quality and sanitary standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Support production, engineering, and urgent repair needs.
Qualifications
- Fabrication or welding experience; food manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Proficient with fabrication tools and TIG welding.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, bend, and work for extended periods.
