Position: Quality Control Technician

Location: Salinas, CA

Pay Rate: $21/hr

Schedule: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Walk the facility with sanitation to verify cleanliness, equipment integrity, and food-safety conditions.
• Document observations on department forms and report issues promptly.
• Inspect finished product to ensure it meets quality standards; verify processing parameters.
• Perform Quality checks, take samples, evaluate results, and record data in the system.
• Communicate with the Shift Supervisor and QC team regarding Holds, Unusual Occurrences, CCP issues, labeling, packaging, and pack quality.
• Complete daily plant perimeter walks using checklists to verify cleanliness and readiness.
• Assess frozen/warm loads for salvageable product.
• Review transfer truck conditions for food safety and quality.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years related experience or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of “use by” and Julian dates preferred (training provided).
• Basic computer skills; Excel and Word preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
