Human Resources Manager
Location: Oakdale, CA
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee HR functions for a steel fabrication environment. This role manages recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, employee relations, safety compliance, and policy administration while supporting a positive, safety-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead workforce planning, full-cycle recruiting, job descriptions, offers, onboarding, and I-9/E-Verify compliance. Oversee timekeeping, wage/hour compliance, overtime, and partner on biweekly payroll. Administer medical, dental, vision, retirement, COBRA, and life-event changes. Maintain IIPP, OSHA logs, and coordinate safety training and workers’ comp/return-to-work. Train supervisors on breaks, scheduling, and timekeeping; perform audits to reduce PAGA exposure. Manage performance reviews, coaching, corrective action, and PIPs. Handle employee relations, investigations, and confidential policy enforcement. Maintain handbook, HR policies, ADA/interactive process, personnel files, and required training records. Support cross-training, development, and succession planning. Guide terminations, final pay, exit interviews, and separation documentation while ensuring compliance.
