Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Commerce, CA

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive, mechanical, and electrical maintenance on production equipment. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting equipment upgrades and improvements. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can work independently, support operators, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment audits.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors, failures, or performance issues.
• Recommend repair strategies, maintenance priorities, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist Operators with minor maintenance needs to help maintain standard operating efficiency and reduce safety, quality, and downtime risks.
• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve routine issues independently without additional support.
• Conduct equipment rebuilds, component replacements, and system adjustments.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of repairs, calibrations, tests, and standard settings.
• Evaluate and implement improvement activities that result in measurable performance gains.
• Analyze and interpret performance data to identify opportunities for process or equipment enhancements.
• Train junior mechanics and support Level 2 & Level 3 Mechanics, including assistance with equipment upgrades.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
• Lead or support Engineering upgrades and improvement projects on-site.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
