Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced welding, cutting, brazing, and metal fabrication for components used in heater assemblies.
• Execute MIG and TIG welding, including stainless steel applications based on project requirements.
• Weld frames, enclosures, brackets, housings, back panels, and grounding components that interface with electrical assemblies (no live electrical work).
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding methods, filler metals, materials, and parameters.
• Prepare, align, assemble, and tack components before final welding.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance; perform rework as needed.
• Apply strong working knowledge of metals and materials used in heater manufacturing.
• Identify root causes of weld defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Support troubleshooting of fitment, distortion, and any production challenges related to welding.
• Mentor and guide junior and entry-level welders, ensuring consistent technique and quality.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Notify supervisors of defective materials, equipment issues, or safety concerns.
• Promote and enforce safe welding practices and required PPE usage.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
