Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, this role plays a critical part in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in data management and analytics, combined with the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position requires someone who is comfortable working with large datasets, building automated processes, and proactively identifying opportunities for business improvement through data.
Job Description
The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets from multiple business systems. This role will partner with IT and cross-functional departments to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, and develop dashboards that provide visibility into business performance.
Key responsibilities include:

Extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various internal and external data sources

Cleaning and validating datasets to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability

Developing and maintaining automated scripts and workflows to streamline reporting processes

Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies

Applying statistical analysis and modeling techniques to support business initiatives

Conducting hypothesis testing and assisting in predictive analytics projects

Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Translating complex analytical findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations

Monitoring and improving data quality through audits and validation checks

Supporting business leaders with ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling

Collaborating with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and performance tracking

Staying current with emerging data analytics tools, technologies, and best practices

Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field required

Master’s degree preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role
Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases

Experience with programming languages such as Python or R

Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms)

Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts

Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and modeling techniques

Familiarity with machine learning or data mining concepts is a plus
