Select Staffing is hiring a Service Advisor.
The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers needing maintenance or repair services. This role requires strong communication skills, technical understanding, and the ability to coordinate service work from intake to completion. You’ll ensure customers receive accurate information, timely updates, and a smooth service experience.
Greet customers and assess service needs for fleet vehicles
- Create, update, and close work orders in the service system
- Communicate repair timelines, costs, and recommendations clearly and professionally
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and efficient workflow
- Review inspection results and advise customers on required or recommended repairs
- Maintain detailed records of services, parts, and labor
- Provide status updates to customers throughout the repair process
- Assist with scheduling service appointments and managing shop capacity
- Ensure a positive customer experience from arrival to vehicle pickup
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar role (automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment preferred)
- Strong understanding of mechanical and technical concepts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced service environment
- Proficiency with service management software and basic computer applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, parts staff, and management
