3rd Shift Maintenance Tech B
Location: Bakersfield
Pay Rate: $33/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift
Summary
The purpose of this position is to repair hydraulic, electrical (including solid state), and mechanical systems related to injection molding, extrusion, blending, fork trucks, and facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain good attendance.
- Collaborate effectively with company personnel and customers.
- Inspect and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with facility equipment for plant start-up and shutdown.
- Knowledge of electrical and safety disconnects.
- Implement repairs correctly, properly, and safely.
- Read and interpret repair manuals and parts books.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
- Adhere to all company and government safety regulations.
- Report safety violations immediately.
- Train and guide “C” mechanics.
- Support the Quality Policy and Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities

- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of volt, ohm, and amp meters.
- Stick welding and basic torch cutting ability.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- Must own all non-specialty tools and equipment for a “C” mechanic.
