Repair Technician
Summary: The Repair Technician is responsible for overseeing the programming, testing, and troubleshooting of circuit boards. In this role you will be required to troubleshoot, repair, & test production and customer returned products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair and refurbish all customer returned products including peripherals, PCB (printed circuit board) board-level and system-level products
- Support RMA Engineer to identify needs for tooling, testing procedure and process including new product (hardware/software) evaluation
- Repair or replace the device for customers in a timely manner
- Update and record all related RMA status in the RMA database and prepare repair reports for each RMA repair case.
REQUIREMENTS
- Two years' experience in rework with troubleshoot and repair experience in PCB (printed circuit board) board and system levels products, and Ball Grid Array (BGA) chipset and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) component replacement skills.
- Excellent at Hand Soldering.
- Remove or install SMT Components
- Using a Microscope
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly diagrams, and soldering specifications
- Ability to identify defects, such as cold solder joints, bridging, or improper component placement
