Job Opening: Fire Watchman

Position Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and safety-focused Firewatch to support our food manufacturing operations by monitoring areas where hot work is performed. The Firewatch will ensure compliance with safety protocols and fire prevention measures in accordance with food facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain constant surveillance over hot work operations.
• Monitor the area during and after hot work (typically 30 minutes or as specified) to ensure no signs of fire or heat remain.
• Immediately report and respond to any sign of smoke, flame, or abnormal conditions.
• Document activities and complete Firewatch logs as required.

Qualifications:

• Must be alert, reliable, and able to remain stationery and observant for extended periods.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variation, noise, and humidity.
• May require standing or walking for long periods, and use of ladders or lifts.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be always worn, including hairnets and gloves per GMPs.
