Job Opening: Stockroom Clerk
Description
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM (4/10 schedule – Fridays off)
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Requirements: Basic English proficiency, Inventory, and computer skills
Job Summary
Responsible for specialized stockroom tasks in the electronics industry including order pulling, inventory control, receiving, packaging of electronic finished goods, and shipping.
Major tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, order (kit) pulling, counting of material, sorting, picking, and stocking.
• Verify computations against physical count of stock (cycle count program).
• Maintains condition of work areas.
• Ability to receive inbound material required.
• Basic computer to enter information into database.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Familiar with electronic component(s) part numbers, specifically manufacturer part numbers.
Nature and Scope
• Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices or instruction.
• Under close supervision, exercises independent judgment. Involves detailed checks or close review of output by manager, department lead, as well as fellow employees.
Work Environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., ability to stand for a period (up to 60 minutes), ability to
make repetitive movements including, but not limited to, 10-key or calculator, bending, and
prolonged packaging of material for shipments.
Education and Experience
• A HS diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in related industry and component knowledge desired.
• Ability to communicate in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Background including employment with a company that maintained in-house stock of electronic
components to facilitate quick-turn printed circuit board assemblies.
