Job Description:
We are seeking a Service Technician to join our repair team during peak operations. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient, high-quality repairs of power tools to support our service commitment and customer satisfaction goals.
Responsibilities:
• Perform timely and accurate repairs on power tools by diagnosing issues and applying appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct final safety and functional testing to ensure tools meet quality and safety standards.
• Use hand scanners to receive tools, identify issues, pick parts, and complete the repair process.
• Maintain current technical knowledge through ongoing training and reference materials.
• Help manage parts inventory by performing accurate picks and identifying shortages.
• Support process improvements to control repair costs and increase operational efficiency.
• Communicate with team leads, senior technicians, and occasionally with sales personnel to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in workshops or summits to benchmark repair standards and share best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation to support safe and efficient repairs.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
Work Conditions:
• Workshop setting with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and airborne particles.
• Must use hand tools and equipment to disassemble and assemble power tools.
Safety Requirements:
• Must wear PPE including steel toe boots, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and climbing.
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours daily.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with mechanical or electrical repairs preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Windows applications desirable.
• Familiarity with schematics, hand tools, inventory control, and safety standards a plus.
