Forklift Operator – Winery Operations

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our winery operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse, production, or distribution environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting production, storage, shipping, and receiving activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate stand-up forklifts, double forks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently.
- Transport wine products, packaging materials, barrels, and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Stage materials for production, bottling, and shipping operations.
- Perform inventory movements and maintain accurate product locations.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow all OSHA regulations, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support warehouse and production teams as needed to meet operational goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or winery environment.
- Experience operating stand-up forklifts and double-fork equipment preferred.
- Ability to safely load and unload trailers and move product in tight warehouse spaces.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying warehouse temperatures.
Preferred Skills
- Winery, food production, or beverage manufacturing experience.
- RF scanner and inventory management experience.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Experience working in high-volume distribution environments.
