Inventory Associate – Candy Manufacturing

Location: Oakland, CA

Schedule: Full-time, some overtime during peak seasons

Job Summary:

Our Oakland-based candy company is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Associate to support our warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. You will assist with receiving, counting, organizing, and tracking inventory to help keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Receive, label, and store incoming materials; verify quantities and condition.
• Pull and stage ingredients and packaging for daily production.
• Track inventory movements in the system; update locations and quantities.
• Organize storage areas and follow FIFO/FEFO rotation.
• Assist with shipping tasks such as picking, palletizing, and staging orders.
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant warehouse and storage zones.
• Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods promptly.

Requirements:

• Inventory or warehouse experience preferred; food manufacturing a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to follow GMPs and safety procedures.
