Job Summary
A well-established milling company in Madera is seeking a dependable and hardworking Light Cleaning Associate to join our team. This position will work under the direction of the Cleaning Crew Lead and assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the facility.
The work environment is very dusty, and candidates must be comfortable working in industrial conditions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform light cleaning duties throughout the facility
- Sweep, dust, and maintain designated work areas
- Remove debris and dispose of waste materials properly
- Clean break rooms, common areas, and production-related spaces
- Assist the Cleaning Crew Lead with assigned tasks
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to management
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a dusty industrial environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
- Comfortable working around dust, noise, and changing temperatures
