Description
A growing metal manufacturing company in Fresno is seeking a dependable Janitorial / Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position will primarily focus on custodial and janitorial duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. As business needs allow, the employee will also assist the maintenance department with small projects and general facility upkeep throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of production areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, dust, and remove trash throughout the facility
- Restock janitorial and restroom supplies as needed
- Clean windows, doors, workstations, and other facility surfaces
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist the maintenance team with basic repairs and facility improvement projects
- Support preventative maintenance tasks and equipment cleaning
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1+ year of janitorial, custodial, or related experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Basic maintenance knowledge is helpful but not required
