Schedule: 1st Shift — Thursday through Monday, 4:15 AM to 12:30 PM

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up equipment, meeting production and quality goals, and leading a small team to ensure workflow efficiency. You will also ensure that proper materials are staged at the machine and will perform the duties of a Material Handler 1 when needed.
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to make minor adjustments to equipment, and a focus on safety and quality. Equipment may include 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials into machines. Perform Material Handler 1 duties as needed.
- Set up machine components and verify proper configuration.
- Troubleshoot machine components, clearing jams and performing minor non-mechanical adjustments while following safety and maintenance procedures.
- Operate machine computer interfaces using keyboard and mouse to manage assignments, address error prompts, and enter performance data into MS Excel.
- Perform quality checks on finished products and resolve productivity or quality issues independently.
- Support internal and external audits; analyze and report production data to the Production Lead/Supervisor, recommending improvements to machine use, quality control, and staffing.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
