We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR operations within a steel fabrication environment. This role oversees recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, employee relations, safety programs, and policy compliance while supporting a positive, safety-driven workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

• Lead workforce planning and full-cycle recruiting
• Develop job descriptions, coordinate offers, and manage onboarding
• Ensure compliance with I-9, E-Verify, and hiring documentation requirements

Payroll & Compliance

• Oversee timekeeping accuracy, wage and hour compliance, and overtime management
• Partner with payroll for accurate biweekly processing

Benefits Administration

• Administer medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and COBRA
• Manage life-event changes and provide employee support on benefits

Safety & Workers’ Compensation

• Maintain IIPP, OSHA logs, and safety training documentation
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work, and light-duty assignments

Employee Relations & Training

• Train supervisors on scheduling, breaks, timekeeping, and compliance
• Conduct audits to minimize PAGA exposure
• Support performance reviews, coaching, corrective action, and PIPs

Policy & Documentation Management

• Uphold handbook and policy compliance
• Lead ADA/interactive process discussions
• Maintain personnel files and required training records

Organizational Development

• Support cross-training initiatives, employee development, and succession planning

Separations

• Guide terminations, final pay processing, separation documentation, and exit interviews while ensuring full compliance
