Experienced PCB Quality Control Inspector Opening
Day Shift In Lake Forest, CA
Pay: $24ph-$28ph
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm
The QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting pcb boards surface mount and through hole solder using JSTD/IPC standards to assure nothing, but the highest quality product is produced. Stop defects from moving through the factory or being shipped to customers, including in-process inspection, final inspection and components inspection.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to run a first article inspection (FAI).
- Perform daily QC activities with in-process inspection, final inspection and components inspection.
- Inspect boards produced from SMT process as they are produced on/off the line.
- Inspect boards produced from hand or machine assembly processes.
- Run AOI programs as needed to inspect boards.
- Ensure that products meet all customer and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate quality issues to the SMT team, Managers and Engineers as needed. Implement changes & improvements of existing QA procedures and Systems.
- Support engineering activities related to quality improvement of products in compliance to customer’s requirements as needed.
- Support internal quality audits and maintain documentation.
- Must be flexible within a small working environment, hand soldering and other technician type activities may be given when QC inspection is not required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be familiar with IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 or JSTD-001 certs
- 3-5 years of QC experience in PCB Assembly manufacturing, or 10 years of direct field related experience.
- Must have worked in an electronics, aerospace or semiconductor industry in the manufacturing or QA department
- Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes with in-depth understanding of PCB assembly defect types.
- Must be familiar with the use of common electronic inspection tools such as magnifiers, microscopes, measurement calipers, multi-meters, etc.
- Knowledge of AOI, X-ray, BGA is a must. Must be able to read and understand work instructions, checklists and Bill of Materials.
- ISO 9001, Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 and JSTD-001 standards and Safety practices. Certified JSTD is preferred.
