Are you detail driven, organized, and ready to support a team that values accuracy and efficiency? Our Simi Valley manufacturing company is looking for a Part-Time Office Assistant and Bookkeeper to support daily administrative and financial operations. If you enjoy keeping things running smoothly and working in a collaborative environment, this role is for you.
Pay Rate: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Part-Time
About the Role
The Office Assistant will support administrative and accounting functions essential to the success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data entry and accurate financial transaction input using QuickBooks
• Process and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoices, receipts and vendor payments
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial accuracy
• Assist with financial reporting and summary preparation for management
• Maintain organized financial records, documents and filing systems
• Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve financial discrepancies
• Provide support to production, purchasing, shipping and receiving, and customer service
• Handle label printing and support ISO maintenance
• Work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Maintain punctuality and reliability

Job Requirements:
- Basic organizational, accounting and computer skills
- Experience with QuickBooks and MS Office required
Ability to read, understand and follow procedures and business documents - Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of company personnel
Willingness to learn through on-the-job training - Ability to work independently and in a team setting, without much supervision.

What You’ll Do

- Use RF scanners, computers, and printers for shipping tasks
- Perform basic quality inspections on outgoing packages
- Print shipment labels and custom documents as needed
- Ensure shipments are properly identified, labeled, and loaded into delivery vehicles
- Track and update the status of outgoing shipments
- Apply correct packing techniques for outgoing shipments
- Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve them promptly
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance required

Job Requirements:
The following skills are preferred:
- Basic computer skills
- Basic knowledge/experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook & UPS World ship
- Detail oriented
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack

Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and carry 25lb up to 50lbs regularly.
