Coating Process Operator

Location: Salinas, CA

Pay: $18.00/hr

Shift: Flexible (typically 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM)

Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Coating Process Operator to support seed enhancement production. This role involves coating and pelleting seeds while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform seed coating processes to meet quality requirements
• Review daily pelleting schedule to ensure materials and setups are ready
• Verify correct seed and coating specifications before production
• Clean equipment and seed containers to prevent contamination
• Weigh and prepare fungicides, colors, and additives following safety procedures
• Ensure dryer boxes and trays are clean prior to seed transfer

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of production or manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic math skills (percentages, metric system)
• Forklift or pallet jack experience (certification a plus)
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Strong attention to detail
