Position Summary
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and performing basic testing on hospital equipment to ensure all products meet safety and quality standards before being returned to healthcare facilities. This role supports infection-control procedures and helps maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Job Duties
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect hospital equipment such as medical beds, mattresses, patient lifts, wheelchairs, and mobility devices
• Follow all infection-control and sanitation procedures
• Use approved cleaning agents and disinfectants
• Perform basic equipment checks after cleaning
• Tag or label equipment after sanitation and testing
• Move equipment between cleaning, drying, and storage areas
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Complete required documentation or checklists
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent bending, standing, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to stand for 8–10 hour shifts
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or service environment
Qualifications
• Previous sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, or production experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
