Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Purchasing Manager, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized clerical employee to support our procurement operations in our Vendor Out of Stocks (VOOS). The ideal candidate will have experience with purchase order processing, buyer, and administrative tasks related to the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Buyer experience
- Review VOOS reports and contact vendors about in stocks.
- Communicate with vendors regarding order confirmations, shipping updates, and discrepancies.
- Assist with creating, tracking, and managing purchase order.
- Maintain records of procurement transactions and qualification processes.
- Coordinate internal purchasing requests and route for proper approvals.
- Maintain and update vendor contact lists and documentation.
- Support the vendor purchasing team with ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 2-4 years of administrative support or general clerical experience.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to type 40 wpm and pass the company administrative tests at a minimum of 80%.
