Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and a commitment to delivering timely and compliant payroll services.
Key Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly or weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws Maintain payroll records and employee data in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar) Review and verify timesheets, work charts, wage computation, and other payroll information Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve issues promptly Ensure accurate tax withholdings and reporting; assist with year-end W-2 preparation Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and best practices
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required – preferably in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing Proficiency with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paychex, etc.) Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices High level of attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
