Job Opening: Warehouse Associate
Description
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Manager, Operations and Engagement, the Warehouse Support will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming donations and supplies, picking and filling orders from stock, packing orders, and setting up the warehouse for events, as well as working with volunteers throughout the week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and counting in-kind donations.
- Assist in preparing orders by pulling materials, packing boxes, placing orders in the delivery area
for corporate events, which include Battalion Buddy Kits and Paracord Lanyards.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
- Bring Handmade with Love and in-kind donations to the warehouse and prepare them to be added into inventory.
- Assist in counting physical inventory and periodic cycle counts.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices, including proper use of safety equipment and maintenance of a clean, organized work environment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; sweeping, dusting, and mopping; organizing warehouse and work areas for orderliness.
- Coordinate and work with volunteers: Set up workstations for volunteers assisting on assembly days, guide them on how to perform tasks effectively in the warehouse, and oversee their activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or senior management.
- Forklift certified (or become approved within 30 days of employment)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred
- Appreciate the spirit of volunteerism, and understand the critical role that volunteers play

- Able to routinely lift heavy boxes, packages, materials, and equipment
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, stand and move about a warehouse floor for an extended period during an eight-hour workday
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
